Description

Very first grout and tile cleaning wand that actually pressure washes tile and grout lines with standard 300 and 500 psi carpet cleaning machines.
We will call it the "Rhino" one horned beast.

Problem: In the past if you owned a 300 or 500 psi carpet cleaning machine and wanted to clean tile and grout you would have to either already prespray and scrub the floor and then use your carpet cleaning machine to only rinse the floor. If you wanted to pressure wash rinse the floor you always had to upgrade your pump system to 1000 - 1500 psi.   Our goal, in this design, was to concentrate the spray to a zero degree (1/8" wide) spray pattern and then rotate that pattern at a 25 degree spray. This supplies the power of the zero degree concentrated spray pattern but still allows the cleaning pattern to be 2-5/8" wide.
Alternatively, in the past, to purchase a high powered 1000 to 1500 psi water pump requires the customer to spend up to a thousand dollars on the pump and then even more to purchase the rinsing wand.

Advantages: For the first time, a carpet cleaner with a standard 500 or even a 300 psi pump can now offer tile and grout cleaning without having to purchase any expensive pump or spinner wand. For the first time, cleaners can even use their heated carpet cleaning machine, or carry in electric heat booster boxes, as part of their new tile and grout cleaning service. Note: The max psi rating for electric heater booster boxes is 500 psi so traditional 1000 - 1500 psi system were only able to use standard tap water temperature for cleaning. Tool cleans all the way to the edge of the tool.

All videos were taken with 65 degree F cold water, no chemicals. Note concrete is similar in composition as grout lines. We tested the tool at 300psi, 500psi, 800psi, and 1100psi. with great results the only difference is the speed we can pull and push the tool at.
We also tested the tool and replaced the 1/4" brass cap that is used to hold the toggle swivel to the housing with a 1/4" Veejet that sprayed across the 3" width of the tool at 1100 psi. The results is it cleans great but more water slops out from under the housing so we opted to leave this feature off.

Q&A:
Question: What is the max pressure the tool can handle?
Answer: 2000 psi as this brass is the weakest point on the tool. The nozzle, gun, and lance are all rated for over 2700 psi.

Question: Is the tool freeze thaw stable?
Answer: No. I will require you to remove from the service truck, or blow the water out, or place a small electric space heater on low in the service truck to prevent freeze damage. Water expanse by 8% when frozen and will break the nozzle, gun, and brass all at the same time.
