Hydramaster 000-169-011 180 Degree Thermal Relief Safety Valve 3/8in Mpt X 1/8in

Description

To prevent overheating and pump failure the thermal relief valve should be installed in the by-pass line. The valve will automatically sense the rise in temperature and discharge some of the hot fluid causing the cooler fluid to enter the system and the valve will then close. The total elapsed time from when the valve opens until it closes is 2 to 5 seconds. Close temp 180 degrees F+-. Max psi 125. Max discharge rate: 2.5 gpm. Only Part number 21 in exploded view on right side.
