This machine has 5 different filters, each of which offers a finer, and finer filtration, all the way up to the highest filtration HEPA filter, in order of particulate filtration size: first is the dacron filter, a big reusable (washable) filter, followed by the filter bag with the locking ring, then the polyester prefilter, followed by the impaction filter, which is right before the hepa filter.
