WHOLE HOME SURGE SUPPRESSOR: The Square D Whole Home Electronics Protective Device is a compact surge suppressor designed for installation in any residential load centre. It protects and provides surge suppression for electronic and electrical appliances that are not connected to surge strips.
DOWNSTREAM PROTECTION: Unlike individual power strip surge protectors that only shield a limited number of devices plugged into them, the Square D HEPD safeguards all electrical devices connected to your home’s system. Computers, televisions, kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, security systems, smart home devices, and more are all protected under this suppressor.
APPLIANCE LIFESPAN ENHANCEMENT: By preventing damaging voltage spikes, a surge suppressor extends the lifespan of your electronic devices and appliances. HEPD devices protect and provide surge suppression for important items that are not compatible with plug strips such as electric cars, concrete grinders, concrete compression testing equipment, floor sanders, concrete dust and hepa vacuums, laser and light show equipment, washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, heating and air conditioning equipment, and lighting.
HEPD whole house devices are designed to deliver AC surge protection for the entire AC power system in a home. HEPDs are compact in size and are designed to protect AC wires in the home from surges that could affect home electronics and appliances not connected to surge strips. For use on 120/240 VAC single phase, 3 wire systems with an isolated ground. This device mounts easily next to the load centre. Load Centre color integration and flush mounting kits are available for separate purchase. This device provides 80,000 Amps of short circuit protection and 80,000 Amps of surge protection per phase and comes in a consumer package. The surge protection device is in a NEMA 4X (water resistant) housing. The surge protection device is 3.23 inches tall, 3.72 inches wide and 2.10 inches deep. The surge protection device is CSA certifed by UL.
